DESCRIPTION:Project Title: Migrants Will Have the Opportunity to Learn \nOrganization: United Society \nCategory: Civic Education Video Series for Immigrants \nStatus: Completed \nTarget Audience: All newly arrived immigrants in the United States \nLanguage: Simple English \nDistribution: Free on our website and social platforms \nProject Overview:\nAs part of our commitment to supporting immigrant integration\, United Society independently designed and produced a series of short educational video clips in simple English\, tailored to the needs of newly arrived immigrants from diverse backgrounds. \nThese videos cover essential aspects of everyday life and legal awareness in the United States\, including: \n– U.S. traffic rules and road safety \n– Renters’ rights and housing regulations \n– Basic legal responsibilities and protections \n– How to access public services \n– Community norms and civic behavior \n– And much more… \nThe clips are short\, informative\, and culturally sensitive—designed to help immigrants quickly gain the knowledge needed to live safely\, responsibly\, and confidently in their new environment. \nObjectives and Impact:\nThis project was created to:\n– Empower newcomers with accessible legal and practical knowledge\n– Prevent misunderstandings that could lead to legal trouble\n– Support faster integration into American civic life\n– Foster independence and confidence in navigating daily systems \nBy delivering information in clear and simple English\, this initiative ensures inclusivity across linguistic and cultural groups—Afghans\, Latin Americans\, Middle Easterners\, Asians\, and beyond. \nProduction and Funding:\nThis project was fully funded by United Society without any external grants. The video production\, scripting\, and editing were completed in-house by our team of community educators and media professionals. \nAvailability:\nThe videos are freely accessible on our official website and social media pages. They are open for sharing and use by nonprofits\, schools\, libraries\, and community centers nationwide.
