Why This Campaign Matters
At United Society, we believe community-led change begins with people — especially volunteers who give their time, talent, and heart to help newcomers feel at home.
We’re building a Volunteer Mobilization Program that recruits, trains, and equips individuals to serve Afghan and immigrant families across California and beyond.
These volunteers support vital services like:
– Language assistance and ESL tutoring
– Job readiness coaching
– Cultural orientation sessions
– Housing and health system navigation
– Mentorship and emotional support
But to do it right, we need funding to coordinate, train, and support these volunteers.
What Your Support Makes Possible
– $25 provides training materials for one volunteer
– $100 equips a full volunteer toolkit (badges, guides, forms)
– $250 trains and deploys one volunteer to serve in the field
– $1000 launches a regional volunteer workshop for 10 people
